A new low on the website update front. I actually
created an update and was too lazy/forgetful to actually
upload it. So, new pictures up on the boys pages and just
a small update or two here.
Jill's arm is healing (finally). She is doing
very well and will probably be scheduling her right wrist
surgery soon. She is definitely tough and she appreciates
all the well wishes and prayers on her behalf.
School is still ok. We are getting ready at
Bosqueville to move into our new Elementary school. It will
be a tough week or so, but I hope it will all go relatively
smoothly. The new Secondary addition (library, computer
lab, and new office) will probably be ready to inhabit sometime
in late March/early April. We'll see. It will be a great
relief to be able to park in front of the building again
instead of having to walk the 3 block hike from either end
of campus.

Wow. Another year done and gone. It's hard
to believe how fast time flies. It just doesn't seem that
long ago that school years drug on forever and birthdays
crept up with annoying slowness. Now I've blinked twice
and we are celebrating the birth of a new year. I'm excited
about the challenges that the new year will bring, but before
we hit the new one running a quick recap of the latter end
of 2008!
Jill ended the year with surgery on her left arm. She had
carpel tunnel release surgery on her wrist and cubital tunnel
release surgery on her elbow. She was experiencing lots of
tingling in her fingers and having her arm go to sleep. The
surgery was successful, but her recovery has been slower than
she wanted (which means she is right on track). She will continue
her rehab on her left arm and when it's deemed healed enough
by the Dr. she will have the wrist surgery again on her right
arm. She's frustrated because she can't hold the boys and
elated because she has been relieved of diaper duty for the
time being...
The school year has flown for me at Bosqueville. The learning
curve has definitely been steep, but overall, school has been
good so far. I'm looking forward to getting settled in our
new buildings and finishing out the year. Lots of items on
the "I'll do that differently next year" list.
Jill's work at her private practice has been good. After
a spotty summer, she has become more and more busy (though
referrals are still more than welcome!). Hopefully the new
year will bring her continued success.
The boys continue to grow and entertain. Between what they
learn from TV and friends at school, their vocabulary continues
to grow. Case in point: I was getting on to Zeke for some
random misdemeanor and he looked me in the face and asked,
"You want a piece of me?". The Z brothers are now
almost exactly the same size, prompting more and more the
"Are they twins" question. See the pictures for
why...
Hope the year past has treated you as well as it had us and
here is wishing that the new year bring you and yours health,
peace and prosperity!
Chris
